String of Bananas

String of Bananas

CA$10.00

String of Bananas care requires three main pillars: bright light, well-draining soil, and infrequent watering. Treat this trailing succulent like any desert plant: give it plenty of sunshine, soak the soil thoroughly, and let it dry out completely between waterings.

comes in clear pot with humidity dome for faster growth. Just water as needed.

Light: Place your plant in bright, indirect light where it receives at least 5 to 6 hours of sun daily. The top of the plant, nestled in the pot, requires good light to prevent it from going bare. While they love bright light, intense and hot direct sun can scorch the banana-shaped leaves.

Water: Overwatering is the biggest threat to your String of Bananas. Rather than sticking to a strict schedule, wait until the "bananas" start to look slightly wrinkled or shriveled, which is the plant's way of asking for a drink. Soak the soil thoroughly until water drains from the bottom, then let it dry out completely. During the fall and winter, significantly reduce watering.

Easy care. :

Fertilizer: These plants aren't heavy feeders. Feed them 3 or 4 times during the spring and summer using a diluted liquid succulent fertilizers.

pickup in Oakville or shipping is $35 per box. Box can hold 6 plants if needed. Shipments mailed every Monday but plants take 3 days to prep for shipment.
